In mulit play you get only 1 character. I know it is not like Single player, but join games with other people and work as a group.

All for one, One for all

Enraged multiplayer gamer

actually its logical to have one player. Since the whole principle of multiplayer is to work as a team to defeat your enemies. If u had a whole party you'd just be playing by yourself ont he internet, not much fun in that. It has given a social aspect to the game, so fuck off with the negative comments!!!

It would be nice to play with other people if I could join a game.

You can still play as a team no matter how many char's you control. But making 1 character is just too much click-click-potion for me. I had bad Diablo flashbacks.

Controlling more than 1 character is what makes this game fun.

I finally get my hands on the game tonight. (Huzzah!) Really looking forward to it.

I think that EmperorRob is saying that he would like if everybody controlled thier own group in multi-player. The working together aspect would still be there if the individual groups teamed up.

I see that would be fun Rob, but it sounds a little impractical. Imagine the strain on the bandwidth etc of having however many peoples teams, all playing at the same time, plus monsters, plus pretty scenery, plus uncle Tom Cobley and all.

Think of it this way. How cool would it be in the single player game, if the different members of your team had autonomy to a degree that you could'nt tell them from real people. Very cool... So hello Multi-player, that's exactly what you have!

I'll be there for sure, as long as my sad old 56k connection can cope. Can anyone tell me if this will be the case?

Badger.

In the readme with the game it is recommend for a 56k dude not to host a game with over 4 player slots. I'd be more interested if you could just join a game as that is a feat I have yet to do.
