I suddenly felt like I was playing Dungeon Keeper again. You know, the time when you just built some nice sleeping places to attract new creatures to your dungeon... hoping to hear "a dark mistress has arrived in your dungeon" any time. Well, that same thing just happened to us: we opened our new UXO forums and all of a sudden: "Lead Designer UXO has arrived". That's right: Jonathan "Callandryll" Hanna, the lead designer on Ultima X: Oddysey has arrived at our UXO forums and introduced himself in this thread. While it’s true that our combat is very action oriented, this game is an RPG, probably more so than many other games. Allowing you to make choices in the adventure system instead of just following a script and then rewarding you based on those choices is a huge role-playing tool.
