New Gothic CD not found

Recently I ordered the International version of Gothic from Germany on the PB website. I used to own Gothic 1, but after reformatting the computer, I couldnt find my CD. Anyways, I put the CDROM into the drive and it says that there is no disc in the drive. I put in other discs and they run fine. I've restarted and such, and still no go. I remember this happening when I first installed it, but I cant remember how I fixed it. It did run before, so it is compatable with my machine.

Please, any help would be more than welcome.

Welcome to the forums Taath,

....do you have a dvd drive? - - the original Gothic was cd-rom format.

The new version is a multi-language DVD, not a CD.

Argh, thought so. I have to postpone my Gothic excitement until I can buy a new DVDROM drive. Thanks very much.
