That all seems quite interesting. They seem to have added quite a lot of features to the game, i.e. shield usage (and there's a skill for it, called Shield Moves or Shield Usage some such), dual wielding of weapons, and so on. Nice. I also hope that, looking at the screenshots, ALL of the area will be possible to visit, i.e. we can go to Khorinis and VoM as well as to the mainland too, at any time. And I sure HOPE that the mainland can be explored fully, as I want. I saw some "panorama" shots and the land was big and open, I sure hope it also is all travel-able, and no damn glass walls are blocking anywhere.
Interface seems yet to he too robust, but I believe that it will still be tweaked. All in all, it seems quite cool, but I see that yet again they make german language version first, which is not really a smart move. If they want to go international right away, they should make it in english also right away, not that they make it at first in german language, which limits the market quite a bit, and then the english version will take ages to get released, and by that time, many are too frustrated or tired or the hype has worn down and the game wont sell as good as it could have been.
And, yes, totally new cool thing, seems that it can also be played in multiplayer mode, which is way cool. I just hope then that it is set so, that every player can pursue their own class there as needed, and at the same time, adventure together. |

I'm very curious what G3 will be. I think it will bring a lot of new very good things. All those pictures look very cool. |

hmm arent those pictures and infos made by gothic fans ? cos they look like that many of the ´things in there are surely very interesting and worth adding in the game but many things will make the game just an usual RPG game , if they would add all the things on the links were shown then its not much more than Diablo in 3d |

I hope the developers focus on creating an unigue atmosphere and a very good storyline with some good plotchanges. That's the most important think, not if you can ride animals or join one of the twenty guilds. |

You sure those are Gothic 3 screenshots? They look identical to Gothic 2 (In graphical detail and locations).
Whats up with this: http://mitglied.lycos.de/DMatt/gothic/screens/Haus.jpg
Is that some kind of debug mode or are they intending to let us buy houses in G3? _________________ IMHO my opinion is humble |

Dual wielding would be good, the only problem what I see here is that the sword sizes need to be scaled down. 1H sword are all too damn BIG. Equip usual dagger, dang thing looks like a SWORD already. All bigger sword are too big already and their tip is always on the ground. Good thing the weapons don't break in the game, otherwise we'd all have chipped weapons from dragging them on the ground all the time. |

Hehe... Of course they are not the G3 screenshots... Fix the engine, design the graphic material, that is quite a lot of work so the developers have not finished that by now. Yes, those pictures were made in the G2/G2AddOn world, as I write in the subject, they are only the HOPE of G3 from the German fans, not official anounces, and they might use some of them in their G2MODs... But we have to aggree that those German fans' work are PRETTY GOOD.
As to the screenshot you mentioned, well, you could use google's translating tool [ http://translate.google.com/translate_t ] to read the text material, I cannot tell too much about it, because I do not have enough time to read those webpages...
Besides, I think I have made a mistake ---- the translating tool(bar)'s link is in my topic "The long-waited GOTHIC MOD -Diccuric- has just been relased!", not the "...damage type..." topic. _________________ 道可道也,非恒道也。名可名也,非恒名也。

Very impressive. Hope the SP portion of the game does not suffer to allow for the MP portion. |

There isn't going to be a multiplayer part, that's not possible due to the way the npc's are working. When you talk to the npc's most of the things in gothic are frozen. That would mean that in MP when you talk to a NPC that the other players can't move |

If this isn´t official material I suggest you change the misleading title and edit your first post to reflect this. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Well, I made it.
But, Gorath, could you tell me whether these maps:
http://forum.jowood.de/attachment.php?s=&postid=927653
&
http://forum.jowood.de/attachment.php?s=&postid=961192
are from the Gothic Comic released by PB? I never got that comic, but I saw lots ot location names from those maps in some German forums... If those names(maps) were not some offical-related things, there would not be so many people talking about them, I think. _________________ 道可道也,非恒道也。名可名也,非恒名也。
