Source Code?

I know this is a long shot, but what are the chances of Piranha Bytes releasing the source code to the Gothic I/II engine? I absolutely love game code and would like to see the first two Gothic games from a programmer's perspective.

I know id releases the engine code to their games, as occasionally do other companies like 3D Realms. I would contact Piranha Bytes directly, but I wouldn't know who from the company to ask!
