Hi folks.

After some posts in wog of gothic here Mike wanted to clear some things in my posts. Click here

He answered:

@patriot (all are interesting) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Interesting.... I would like to make some things clear cause they aren't confirmed (from outside)

1. There aren't exactly warlords. It’s something else. But I won't revile any more info about it.

2. Everything turns around the controversy of the Gods.No. Everything turns around the realm occupied by Orks and the consequences of the Ork's sieges (nearly victory?) of course the Gods Background is still important for the world of Gothic.

3. Opponents can do much in Gothic III - but they don't jump off walls.

4. King Rhobar was first founder of Myrtana. King Rhobar the second has conquered the 4 realms , which formed together the Kingdom of Myrtana (I mean, because Myrtana is a conquer-end country ).

The four realms are... Nordmar Myrtana Varant the southern islands (but they aren't still in Gothic III)

Greeting to everyone,

Mike

If they change the combat system in Oblivion i will play the game for sure, but if it has the same combat system as Morrowind (which IMO was crap, and totally destroyed the game fun for me) i will ignore it.

do you really think that pic is in-game....???

It is an in-game pic, the dev's and mag both mention it as one.

And they are changing the combat, getting rid of the die rolls among other things.

Are there any details known about this „mouse dominated control system“? I hope very much, that PB will not forget wsad, because I do not like too much mouse clicking. Playing is much more satisfying for me, when I am „working“ with both hands.

@ Edda:

I re-asked your questrion at the forum of WOG, and get the reply from Sowilo:

http://forum.rpg-ring.com/forum/showthread.php?p=798200#post798200

I guess Sowilo misused the word "and" in his post (#124) which should be "or" in fact.

How do you know?

It doesnt look like anything any of the newer engines couldnt handle nowadays. Maybe the hair, but apart from that it could easily be an ingame model.

Hotlinking is not allowed because it´s stealing bandwidth. You can find links to the animation in the news. Gorath

Gorath, I believe what people are asking here is whether that scavenger movie is real-time, or prerendered animation? Atleast I would like to know that.

Thank you Hi-Necro and thanks to all of you!

I am ashamed. I am living in Bremen, but I did not know anything about that event - too much work these days.

Gothic III will definately be a good reason to upgrade the rig

And since we have a year (even longer for english version for us non-german folk), we have plenty of time to save some money for that very purpose.

I hope that the Kingdom hasnt fallen apart.
If it has i shall defend the king with my life!
I hope there will be old friends especially Diego, he is one of my favourite characters. I would like to have Gorn by my side too.
"You will not lose ALL of your skills" What does that mean? Bah! The part i most enjoyed in Gothic was the beginning when i was all weak and had to avoid enemies and stay in settlements.
The water in the desert has to be in the game. I want a RPG where you will HAVE to eat and drink or else dehydrate or lose strength temporarily.

You will meet some of the old friends, PB already said.
About the skill thing, you will probably still be weak, after you want to build your character, but you won't be killed by a young wolf. I still don't think you'll be able to take on orcs and shadowbeasts. And maybe there will be much more powerful enemies on the mainland.

I hate orcs. I got tired of them in G2 when they were sieging the castle. There were quite a lot of them but i didnt have much problems slaying them.
