It's not too bad. It'll probably grow on me the more I listen to it.

Skinny Puppy - Hexonxonx
-off the Rabies cd, great true industrial music
@Val - yeah Tiger Army takes a few listens, Im a bit more inclined since it's really similar to the sound of the Misfits at times. Less schlock horror and more dramatic horror, alot more romance and roadside-bar rockabilly influence. Alot of it is from a male perspective as well, yearning for the proverbial "her" alot, whether in death, life, or other. ='.'=
After I read the lyrics, it really gave a whole new life and perspective into it for me past simply the instrumental aspects of it, being the kinda tiger who really enjoy the lost soul looking for his love/creature of the night type of lyrics. "When the Night Comes Down" started out as an ok type of tune for me, but after realizing all it was about and busting out the lyrics in full, I just loved it. After kinda abandoning chorus-driven music for a time, it's kinda refreshing to get back to some basic song structure and catchy choruses. _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |
