Kill thieves guild bosses...but guards attack me

when i killed one of the bosses, and my crime had been reported i was all ready to go pay my fine and get on with it..but the second i walked out into the street i was confronted by a guard, as i expected, but instead of allowing to pay my fine, he said i deserved death for my crime and then he attacked me...how can i complete this mission if i'm gunna have all the guards in all the towns after me?

I have this experience:
- when I kill only one person, find guard, pay, then I kill another one, pay for him... - everything is alright
- but when I kill two people and try to pay for them, it is not possible...

I'm not quite sure, but I seem to remember you can pay for more than one murder. As I recall, you just have to keep trying different guards, and eventually one of them will engage you in the dialogue where you're offered to pay. But then, I didn't try it out again before posting this reply...

Larrius Varrio should be able to sort that problem out for you - he'll have a word with the guards. You just need to get to him!

(EDIT: Sorry, Thieves Guild? Doh. In that situation I'd just try a guard in another town - when all the guards in one town try to kill you, sometimes elsewhere they'll just give you the normal option of paying for the crime.)

If your save game is already at the point where the guards are after you, a quick exit may be required. See if you can get out of the door and into the river before anyone kills you, swim down to the island and climb out, then walk down to the fort.

If you've got Divine Intervention you should be able to teleport there immediately.

Well to add just little bit more to this discussion -
I am not sure about amount of people you need to kill to be killed, but I am sure that if you kill just one (maybe two), there is no problem.
So my advice is to pay after each murder.
