Pretty darn good RPG!!

It has the main thing alot of so called RPGs are missing these days...Role playing! Too many game makers and gamers are enamored with graphics and not game play.
Most so called RPGs are no more than FPS's with a RPG slapped on the title.

G2 is the best I've played in a long..long..long while.

Here's looking to G3!

The only thing really wrong with MMORPGS....is the 500,000 other players!

Looking like a decent RPG year...

Back to smiting Trolls...

I go back to the Gothics even when my other RPGs are collecting dust and cobwebs. And the mouths actually move correctly. That impressed me beyond belief when I first played Gothic 1.

And keida, welcome. May we adventure together in lands far away.
*edit*If we do so however, beware of stray fireballs. I am quite spell happy.

That's ok...I sometimes swing blindly...so if I accidentely cut your arm off..you can use your magic to glue it back on.

Fair enough.
Anyway, I am glad that you like Gothic. It is indeed one of the few great games out there.

Man, I hope my local used game store doesn't find out! Every few months, I see it for $5 USD.

44.99 bucks!
I just checked...that's amazing! Considering I just saw a copy a couple of weeks ago for 19.95 ( On amazon)
Wait...that was E-Bay..and you never know what your really going to get with that...
I bought a disk( Arcanum) once and it had a bigg ass scratch on it, and the dude did not want to return the money.
And a piece of porcelean had a hidden crack...screw that!

Anyway...that's wild...considering I only paid 10 bucks for G2 at gamestop..

I too, have become a Gothic convert and just can't stop playing this game. I love to try out small-release titles like these, they are often undiscovered treasures. Finding Gothic 2 was even a bit of a challenge around here (Minnesota, USA). I had to check a lot of stores until I found one with a copy. Still haven't seen Gothic 1 anywhere yet. From what I've experienced thus far in Gothic 2, Gothic 1 and 3 will be on my most wanted list. I also love how this game has a ton of replayability as the other character classes.

I got my Gothic games from all over the world, so to say I was on business trip in Sweden, when I went into one PC shop in Stockholm. And there I was a modest looking game case (the plastic DVD case) labelled Gothic 2. I hadn't heard about this game before, so I picked it up and, I don't know what, but something caught my eye.. So, I bought it and brought home when got back from the trip and boy am I glad I did it..

Anywho, once I finished G2, I wanted to know about G1, I mean, if there's 2, there should be 1 as well Soon enough I had the data about it and I liked what I saw, but there was a problem - the game was not available that easily in english. I searched and searched, all over the Europe, to no avail. So, finally, I asked some of my friends in the US. US market is big, so there's a good chance that some copies might be on sale there still. Sure enough, friend in Texas state found one copy and mailed it to me and, heck, that was a good investment!

So, when the add-on came out, I wanted it, but again it was on sale only in Europe and it was in german language. I still bought it, from Germany this time and the rest is a history

Whailor you are defiently a true gothic fan from flesh to bone

I found gothic 1 by accident.I downloaded a gothic demo as someone recommand it and said it is like ultima..I was so hooked in from the very begining.I just had to get more..gothic is like a drug! So my search began.Three long months it took. When i was about to give up..I read from net, that some local gameshop had few copies in the stock, so i finally got it. the following weekend i spent inside playing and playing..hehe It was summer, but i had no desire to go outside.

When gothic 2 was released here in i literally RAN to get it..I sort of feared that all the copies could be sold out.
