Question about dex based weapons damage ...

1. If i using strenght based weapon, my critical hit = weapon damage + strenght. how it is calculated for dexterity based weapons (master sword, rapier ...). i planing go ranger, but some monsters can't be beaten using xbow.
2. how calculated damage for bows and xbows? if i hit then it is automatic critical or not?

Thanks

I can definitely confirm now that dex weapons use dex instead of strength when they critically hit. However, my 18 damage sword stopped being cool, even with 105 dex. Right now I use a 40 damage axe, with a 45 strength... consistant damage is good. You can't count on those crits, sadly.

As for bows and crossbows... if you hit (not always easy), you do weapon + dex damage every time.

there isn't difference while calculating critical damage between dex based and str based swords. always weapon damage+strenght

See, I know that's not true because when I first started I had a 20 dex and a 18 damage sword. When I critted I would do maybe a quarter of a scavengers life.

Now if I use the same sword and crit, I kill the scavenger in one hit. Just like when I use a bow.

I get the same results. My bow is 60% and Dex 100. If I jack up Dex with rings & amulet I get a better hit rate and my crit hit is awsome. Last night I took out an Ork Elite with three hits...2 hits registered 1/4 life points with the third dropping him in his tracks.
