| Gary's ladder is a serial killer!! How to I rob the SOB? |

Ok I pulled the switch in Alicias room ran into Gary's house and down into his cellar. I ran through the porticalis and now there is a floating ladder that I can't climb. Soon the porticalis closes and I'm just stuck in this little room and can't reach the damn ladder! How do I get the key mold??? |

Try jumping and holding the up arrow constantly after the jump. Also you have to be just a little back from this ladder to make the jump, not up on it like all the others in ARX. This one is pain, but it is a matter of where you stand when you jump. Just something to make the Quest a little harder I think.  They could have kept it in my opinion. Keep trying, it can be done.

No I never got to deep into the secret words. Just not my thing. I saw a thread where someone asked and another guy offered to EMail some help. Glad you didn't die in that pit. Killed that Gary the rest of the times I played. Just to get revenge for all the time I spent trying to get up that ladder.

Yea I know a little bit about the golden Ylside but there are alot of questions that I think I'll have to go to the creators to answer. Thanks again for helping me out. By the way, how the hell can you kill Gary with out getting the entire rest of the town on your arse? Well thanks again. |

Kill him in his home with the door closed. It is hard to find him there except early in game. I did kill him and the guard in the bank once by casting confused, then invisibility, then close the door, but I don't know if all of the guards were going to leave alone, as I reloaded previous save for different reason. I was just messing around to see what I could get away with and how to get away with it.
