Best weapon early game.

What is the best weapon to get in the early game? So far the best one I found is the bastard sword on the beach along the harbor coast. It's one handed and has decent damage.

Best low level STR 15, Wolf's Tooth unique sword. It is stuck in the broken wagon under the rock overpass on your way from the tavern towards the monastary. Strenght requirment 10 and damage of 20 I think. Anther low level is a DEX based sword called SWORD for 10 dex at 18 damage. All available at start of game.

EDIT UPDATED VALUE CORRECTION

Wolf's tooth isn't bad weapon, but it's a short blade (its range is only 50). Rusty sword is longer (70) but does lesser damage (only 15).
Very good weapon is self-forged sword (my favourite, 30dmg, 20 str, 90 range), it is better than cutlass (30, 20, but only 70 range). Although cutlass is worse than SF sword, it's more expensive.
If you are strong enough, you could use rough bastard sword (45, 45, 100) - it's a very good weapon for 1. chapter. In the 2. chapter you could find fine bastard sword (58, 60, 100) - good sword for 2. chapter (Ask the Orcs around the castle, if you don't believe me .

Search for it in the game.dat file. Each weapon in german has its own qualifier entry there. Count back to the fourth space from end of entry file marker: RNG_EINHANDLERxxxxxxxRR 00 00 00 ff ff ff ff You can MOD the range , strenght required (condition), Damage done, type, and Value. Even change its weapon.3ds inventory picture ASC in-game 3d anaimation. Make a 2H into 1 h.
