I had forgotten what a pain in the tail these little ladies are. 4 leaf sprites (along with a creeping crawler) just killed my crew in Trynton. ARGH! |

How can you not love them? They have little sprite-boobies that they are willing to show you.. _________________ Member of the "Fantastic ONE"

Hehe, Yep I have no problem with them either both in appearance and in combat! Just keep your "soul shield" , "elemental shield" and "magic screen" spells high and they are almost harmless. Besides their hitpoints are often very low. And a good area spell or a well aimed arrow can take them down easily. |

My goofs are just turning level 10, which put a kink in my spellcasting choices. My bishop and mage just don't have it yet. Of course, even with a strong magic screen running, the sprites got me with blindness and webs. After that, it got ugly and all I could do was sit and watch the carnage.
The real disappointment was that I've really done pretty well this time through. I've only needed two resurrection powders (both for my bard in the same battle- first one was a lucky hit, second one was my fault) up until this battle. No save/reload either. Guess I got a little overconfident. Well, we'll fix that soon enough.... |

I must admit, they had me stumpped to start with, but a well aimed cherry bomb to initiate the combat and they went bye bye.

See, the key to my failure was the little addition- I decided to wipe out the plant before moving on to the tinkerbells. By round 2, they had eye-for-eye up (no spells) and a pack of Trynnie Patrols (useless in this fight) managed to get in the way (no ranged). After round 4 when I closed to melee range with the sprites, I had 2 guys that weren't webbed, and those were blind. The Trynnies all got blinded at the same time and ran for cover, leaving me all by my lonesome. I probably could have run, but after round five I had three corpses and 3 badly hurt statues (webbed and/or blind). I figured it was time for Little Big Horn...
It should be noted that this injustice has since been righted. And I killed the sprites in the zoo just out of spite... I didn't hurt a hair on Bobo's head though- we're a kinder, gentler party. |

I left bobo for quite awhile but ended up killing him because the thumping noise he makes got on my nerves later on

First time thru, I cleared the zoo without a thought. This time, I'm doing things differently, just to be different. Bobo may just have a temporary reprieve though, because Jasuk is right about that stomping sound. At least I got 500xp for drugging the big lug... |

I couldn't figure out how to drug Bobo, so I just killed him. I guess XP hogs should drug him and then kill him. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E.
