Question about Night of the Raven

Hi, I'm sure this has been answered numerous times but as I don't want to be spoiled (which often happens - even in a spoilerless forum) I thought I'd just post a separate question. I have completed Gothic 2 (long ago) and just bought the Gold addition. Is the addon totally separate, starting after the game - so I can just start from there, or is it integrated into the game so I have to replay the whole thing? Thanks!

It is integrated, but you'd quickly see you don't have any savegames When starting NOTR.

Like G2, there are guild specific quests so plan on 3 playthroughs
