NOTR Translation Mod error - game:g2att-g2notr.ini

Fehler beim Ausfuhern von:
"C:\Program Files\Atari\JoWooD\Gothic2\System\Gothic2.exe"
-game:g2att-g2notr.ini
The system cannot find the file specified.

Does anyone have this file? Or had this problem and fixed it somehow?

If so could you email it to: seventhson70@hotmail.com

I have just bought G2-NOTR (German version) and intalled it over my G2 game following the setup instructions on WOG (no problems)...

I ran the game without patches to see if it worked, and it did (yay)

So installed the 2.6 patch and now I get the error msg
"Bitte legen sie die Oringinal-CD "Gothic II - Die Nacht des Raben" ein." (grr)

I have the disk in the diskdrive, hit retry, msg comes up again (grr)

Take disk out, put disk back in, hit retry and same msg comes up and the Install screen for NOTR (not sure if there is the play option when putting disk in)

I'm not familiar with the German version of the game, but it seems to me that the 2.6 patch has changed where the Gothic2.exe and/or the NotR.ini files are located. You probably still have them on the system, but they are now updated to the 2.6 level and may be in a different directory.

I recommend using the "search" function of Windows (press F3 while just in the basic desktop) and look for any hits on these files on your system and see which directories they show up in.

Then reconcile the icon with the directories by either copying the files to where the icon expects them to be or changing the icon to point where they really are. You may have to try both to see which works best.

Anyone else familiar with the German NotR 2.6 installation and can shed more light on this?

Itīs possible you got one of the installation paths wrong. G2, TNotR and the subtitle mod donīt necessary sugest the correct path. You have to check itīs exactly identical.

Another possibility is that the currently sold add-on CDs are already patched. Then version number is displayed somewhere in the program.
