TES: How to delete an object?

I created a new NPC and added that NPC to the Mage's Guild in Balmora. Since this was just some early testing, I would now like to delete the NPC but cannot figure how to delete it from the Mage's Guild without deleting the entire NPC from the database completely. Can anyone help please?

NPC's are objects in the cell.... just delete it from the cell, not the database. There should be a list of objects in the cell window.

Yes, I know - but how? I highlight the NPC object which I see in the cell(Balmora Mage's Guild) - this all using the cell window. However, when I hit the delete key, nothing at all happens - the NPC object I added just sits there. There doesn't seem to be any right mouse key menu for the object in the cell window or any other way I have found to delete it. Please advise how precisely to delete it from the cell window. Thanks

I just "move in" on the NPC, select it and press the delete key. Make sure that nothing is in the way of the camera and the NPC.

Thank you

Thank you very much, I got it deleted. It turns out that one can "manipulate" the object image but this does not make that particular window active - so the delete key did not register. I clicked on the window bar itself to make the window active and then the delete key worked fine (silly me).

Along these lines, I'm planning an NPC that I would like to move around the game map. Is there a way to delete him from one place, and put him in another, without leaving disabled npc's everywhere?
