I Jumped The Mighty Ghostgate!!!

After trying 2 times, i finally did it, im a lvl 3 argonian mage, i used those scolls that give u 1000 to your acrobatics, the first time i was carrying to much, so i hit the gate, the second time i stripped off everything that i had(except my clothes, i need SOME dignity) and i jumped...and boy did i jump, i cleared the gate....i was thrilled....but, disapointed that my mage was going to die....when....he hit a mountain....i lost some health...BUT I DIDNT DIE!!!! im not in the most hardest place in the game, at lvl 3...boy am i going to die......

Sweet. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that fool Tarhiel fall from the sky for the first time... I love those scrolls. My best record is that I jumped from Balmora to Caldera...looks awesome with the optimizer. Oh well, I'll have to get back to beating Morrowind as soon as my Gothic addiction is over.

Erm, my char can jump the barrier in some parts, without a scroll, if he's not heavily loaded. Made me some rings of +12? constant jump. Along with agility + acrobatics 100. Whee

I've often thought about those scrolls...

Since acrobatics allow you to jump higher and then take less damage from a fall what if you did the following.

Cast the scroll then take that leap of death. Just shortly before you land, cast one of the scrolls again to increase your acrobatics for the landing. With a 1000 score in that, you'd probably take zero damage and be able to travel half the island in one jump.

So I suppose you couldn't use the door to get inside?

If you want to survice icarian flight easily, just get an item or potion which casts levitate at any value. (can't be a spell, they take too long). Then, just ebfore you become fertilizer, activate the spell. For some reason, inertia doesn't exist in this world (anyone else notice how npc's can change direction instantly, without slowing down? lame).

Yeah, I use that trick too. I have this sword of the heaven (or something like that) that gives you a good levitate spell when you use it, and whenever I fall from a great height I just use it JUST before I hit ground and my character immediately stops in mid air. It looks stupid. Actually it IS stupid..

The funny thing about ghostgate is that your not supposed to be able to get inside except through the gate entrance. I mean several characters keep saying something similar to this that the place is like fort Knox. *sheesh*
