My understanding is that all races can learn the languages of all other races.....given time. At game start, you only understand your races' language and the common language of your side. (IE: If you were an undead, you would speak the cryptspeak of the dead, and orchish, which is the common tongue of the Horde)
Certain classes have the ability to learn the languages of the opposing side, given training and time. |

That sounds interesting ... Where did you get it from - I have never before come across this info - not on the Blizz site, nor anywhere else? |

I believe I read that as a response to a question in a dev chat on Stratics. I looked to see if I could find the specific chat, but couldn't provide you with a link. Sorry about that. I do know for certain that each side will have a seperate language, and that eventually a determined player can speak all languages, if the class is appropriate. (For some reason I think the rogue is the class most likely to have this ability, but I don't remember where I'm getting that from.) |

Well, I plan on plazing thief, but I don't see any reason for them being the linguist of Azeroth. Except for easier spying and such diversions, other wise, it should be available to all classess |

EQ and I'm sure there's been a few others have race specific languages.
Although, all races (unless your on a roleplay server) start with 'basic' so they can communicate right from the begining. _________________ If soot stains your tunic, dye it black. This is vengeance.

i think its more of a NPC thing at the begining.
Human players need to learn the langauge of a Ork to speak with the NPC's. Maybe im wrong, g _________________ \\//\\//\\//
