European Handball Championship 2004

Has anyone watched it ?

Our country hosted it and it was great. We played in the finals and lost against Germany. I hoped we would win but luck and skills were on their side.

But we beated some high-standard countries that are very strong in Handball. Like France,Croatia, Iceland (not sure about this one.)

Who do you think was the biggest surprise of the championship ?
Who was the biggest dissapointment ?

What do you think ?

I think Slovenia was the great surprise of the championship, while I got most disappointed on Sweden for not qualifying for the Olympics.

Yes.

I thought Sweden will dominate the championship, qualify for the olympics and take almost all rewards.

And that Slovenia will be around 6th place.

Things turned out differently then anyone expected i think.
