I glanced through the latest PC Gamer magazine and they had a decent write-up on Dungeon Seige. Pretty good illustrations. Looks like there is a spriral staircase that leads into the bowels of Hell that has monsters galore on it, mag has article about Morrowind also, Shadow Bane, etc. Pretty neat stuff.

Sounds too much like Diablo to me. Diablo(1, 2) is a game you only finish a couple of times because hacking is too boring in the end. I hope Dungeon Siege avoide too much hacking, because replaying a game like that is dull.

Oh well, guess we'll have to wait to find the answer.

Dungeon Siege focuses on combat, much like Icewind Dale or Diablo.

And it sounds good.
We wait for many non-linear huge RPGs. I hope Dungeon Siege will be linear and very action-fights based.
I need some hack&slash relaxation from solving difficult quests in M&M IX. Someone who does not like it, will not buy it, this game is simply not for him/her .

When is it due, btw? April 5 in the US? That's just next friday. I wonder which of the games currently recently out will make it to Iceland first. I'm betting on Dungeon Siege, since that's a Microsoft product... Wizardry 8 doesn't look like it'll ever make it here, unless you pay for shipping yourself MM9 will perhaps arrive along with HOMMIV, since HOMM is a mainstream game.

Wizardry didn't even hit Scandinavia.

Lots of people thinks of Wizardry as one of the biggest games within the RPG genre, but that is wrong - BG2/Diablo 2 are the biggest.

It's coming out today (4-5-02). The local software store won't display it until after 4:00 p.m. though. (Don't ask me why 4:00?)
