Guide on entering user groups
User groups are special forums in which a group of people who share the same interest get together to roleplay or discuss various subjects. The usergroups consists of people sharing the same interest and are not visible to visitors who do not belong to the user group (with the exception of the administrators). The user group forums are of course not the place to start flame wars or to increase your post count with spamming. The same RPGDot forum rules apply here as well.
The role-playing user groups have less discussion involved and are focused more on the role-playing aspect. Each RP (Role-Playing) user group is placed in its own special world, depending on the common interest of the group (like Gothic, Morrowind or any other world.). Such groups have their own rules in addition to the standard RPGDot rules. Those group rules are made for easier role-playing or to prevent players from performing acts that wouldn't be possible in a normal RPG. There are also user groups that combine discussions and Role Playing, but those are quite rare.
All user groups have special requirements for entering it. For some it requires you to be a good role player, for the other you need to have a history of correct behavior and for the next you need to have some expertise in an area. But for most of our members there should be no real problem in entering a user group of their choice with the exception of the Guardians of course. And If you like to now … How you can enter a user group? We have the following answer:
1. Most user groups have a section in the Usergroup Plaza forum and have a public thread in the Usergroup Recruitment Office forum. Read this to learn more about the user groups to see if there is a group that fits your needs.
2. Decide which group you are interested in by browsing the public use rgroups (link on the top of the page), selecting the group you want and click the »View Information« button.
3. Below the description of the group there is a »Join Group« button. When you click on the button a PM is send to the group moderator, who will contact you shortly after that with more information about the process of joining the group.
4. Once you are accepted you will find the forum of the group at the bottom of the RPGDot forums home page (Below the Usergroup Recruitment Office). Once you see this forum, you are accepted and can participate with the other members while learning the rules of the group.
5. Repeat the above for each group you wish to join.
