I want to download Daggerfall demo, but I have winxp, I had readed in some places that Daggerfall won't run on win xp. If is there any way to run daggerfall on xp tell me, and I’ll wait any hours downloading it on my 56k modem.

No luck I'm afriad. It wouldnt even install. I even tried rebooting to Win98 and installing it from there and then running it through XP but that didnt work either.
If you dont have a copy of Win98 to set up a dual boot (Which I highly recommend if you play older games) then the best thing I can suggest is you get someone to make you a Dos boot disk and get hold of some Dos sound drivers. It should work fine like that. |

Nope, the demo didn't work for me, though the full version (which is no longer available for free) worked.

I tried compatibility mode and all I got was a black screen with a flashing curser in the top left. Thats both for the install program and the game exe. |

Heh. I don't know what kind of systems you people have with Windows XP, but I tell you that I am running Windows XP with a AMD K6-2/450 MHz processor and the Daggerfall Demo ran just fine. No hiccups or anything. The music and sound worked too. I didn't get to kill anything cause I only installed it to try it and see if it would work, but it did, so there. Maybe you have something running on your computer that isn't compatible with it, but it isn't Windows XP.

I am not using the demo, I am using the full game. If it still works with the full game then post again! |

I had purchased the full version back when it was first released, due to inability to play for more then a few minutes without crashing I gave it up and no longer have the cd. Where is the demo available for Daggerfal? |
