The one game that truly meets your requirements is Temple of Elemental Evil. Though you may find the story somewhat bland, it is a DnD based dungeon crawl done by the team that did Fallout. With turn-based combat.

PS - Use a patch, the Circle of Eight mod at the very least before trying it though.

Just give kotOR a try too, i cared nothing about StarWats at all but still enjoyed the game pretty much. though I started it ten times and only finished it once

At least hk-47 is great!

If you liked Baldur's Gate 2, then you might want to try the first game and the expansion packs. Also, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, as well as Planescape: Torment are good games that were made with the same engine.

wow, it is a good game... except that it crushes every five minutes or so. Took me two hours to go through the tutorial. I guess I need new memory

Make sure you have the latest offical and unoffical patch installed, both can be found here. Install the offical patch first. hope this helps its a great game.

Arx Fatalis is what got me to try the Gothic games. Enjoyed it immensely even though it proved quite frustrating at times.
