I ask around tha harbor then everyone in onar farm...but still zip

you need bennet, but he's in jail, talk to hodges and he'll explain what happened, talk to lord hagon, then go to the barracks, talk to bennet, go over to cornelius, beat him up/bribe him, get his diary, read it and take it to lord hagan, then go to onars farm,talk to bennet, give him the eye.
also: i'd edit the subject if I were you...

The dirty bugger has been incarcerated. To free him, do the following:
- Go to the barracks at the city
- Go to the prison, and pull the switch of Bennet's cage
- Talk to Bennet and ask about his crime as much as possible.
- Now, go to the upper quarters and talk to Lord Hagen about Bennet.
- Ask Lord Hagen who is blaming the crime to Bennet. Hagen will tell you it's Cornelius.
- Go upstairs and talk to Cornelius. Threaten him to tell you the truth.
- Now, if you have pickpocket ability, steal the book inside his pocket. Otherwise, bribe him and he'll give you the book. Make sure you have 2000 gold in your pocket.
- If you bribed him, Cornelius will run away. You can see him in the cave where you met the very first bandit in the game. If you want your gold back, go there and beat him up.
- Once you got Cornelius' diary, READ the diary, and a journal entry will be added.
- Tell Lord Hagen that Bennet is innocent. Bennet will be freed.
- You can find Bennet now, back in his own smithy at Onar's farm. Talk to him about the Eye of Anus.

WOW! that really helps now I can make my sword sacred 
BTW I think I noticed that I got more exp when bribing him that when I beat him up
