copy protection failure???

I have a nasty bug which makes the game unplayable.
I install the game correctly. I start it and when I find my first wolphie I realize that I can't damage it. A "copy protection failure " appears in the screen as I am trying to hit it.
I cannot play a game without damaging.

What can I do? Patch? Is it already 1.31.

I believe you should buy an original version because you play with a cracked game.

If you have an original you should update your IDE and chipset drivers. They´re often the reason for a CP failure. Toggleing DMA mode for the CD-ROM is also an idea.
