Very sensible approach. I remember being a part of an early Arx forum on another board. We had almost no traffic for ages, then, once the game came out, we were swamped because there were very few established Arx forums. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

While I admit I'm a little disappointed at the response to The Fall forum, the game is due around the end of March. As dte said, it doesn't seem sensible to close a forum before it's had much chance to get going and just before the game is due. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

The problem with the The Fall forum is that the official forum is very strong. Not much spam, massive developer involvement.
Maybe SpellForce is too much RTS. The game is good, but our hardcore RPG crowd is probably reluctant to try it.
Sacred marketing will start early next year. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

As sure as night follows day, Gothic 2 followed Gothic, and following on again we have the G2 add-on,
and as each forum is "relative", there isn't a forum for the add-on and it is a seperate new game is it not?
I have noticed recently players "entering" threads into where *they* think is suitable, while i see there is no real chaos yet, would it not be better to be prepared now ? - - no doubt when Gothic 3 comes on the market there will be a new forum. All manner of info' regarding the add-on is readily viewable including spoiler type content, i don't wish to seem complaining, but more, suggesting. _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

I agree with Wulf. At least a Gothic2 addon Spoiler forum would be very nice. I don't think a Gothic 2 addon General forum is needed too, because most discussions are about both the addon and the normal game.
It's very confusing to answer questions and not knowing whether they are talking about the addon or the normal game. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

I would like to suggest a hardware forum, since gaming requires a pretty good computer, and I think there are many people here who are interested in hardware. Additionally we could help people who has problems with their computers. I know I would visit such a forum very frequently, and probably many others here would do that as well. _________________

Hardware forums. Yeah it's a good idea.I'm specialized in all kind of hardware.
And of course this forum could include software but not games.Like Front Page or web designing . _________________ (Firefox_Mythos)(Παντος)Reaperfox(Ρουβαλης)Tezafox Katsaridoktono(Ντουσικος)Che(Ταγαρης)Crusader(nokos)shadowfox(Μηχελης)aquafox(Στελιος)thunderfox_gomos(Γιωργος) |

Now that is a good idea Toaster. I have had a lot of rig questions that I posted in different forums, just depending on the game I was playing at the time, but they were general guestions. And adding general software to that same forum would also be a good idea Patriot.
Hope they consider it as a forum, or if nothing else, maybe a sticky here or in the AOT? _________________ =Member of the Nonflamers Guild=

The bad thing about having it all in the same thread is that questions easy get lost in the flow, so people don't get answers to their question. _________________

I don't think that would be a good idea, it would be a little to much of the good. although I like webdesigning - which is one of my greatest hobbies - It has nothing in common with RPG's or hardware. samen counts for frontpage. _________________ Always wondering how it would be... |
