THERE is a way to make them courages and real good! change thier guild to a guard/templar/mercenary and change thier stats and insert and give them some armor and weapons. there ya go, your fighting buddy!

edit: but if you go into a place like the old mine or orc cemetary, they will be gone

There isn't some flag or guild you could change on 'em?

You can make him stronger, give him better armor and all that, but changing his guild to templar or mercenary doesn't really do anything. He's still no more courageous than a puddle of Mud.

You're better off to use Dusty instead of Shrat or Mudd. Dusty will fight anything that you attack and follow you to the ends of the earth. Just go the swamp camp and get the mission to recruit a new member. Then go talk to Dusty and he'll follow you until you take him to the swamp camp. Just never turn him over to the Baal and he's all yours. You will have to edit his invulnerability flag if you want him to take damage, though.

That's a terribly good idea! Only... if you were intedning on joining the Sect camp... it's a little tougher (but still doable).

Actually, you only need to complete four of the five SC quests to join. I usually complete all five for the xp. If I want to use Dusty I just complete the other four and join the SC.
