Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion - Review @ GameBanshee

An interesting review of Oblivion is available at GameBanshee. Although the score is 8/10, there are clearly elements the author is disappointed with:
Or consider treasure leveling. In Morrowind, there was baseline treasure you’d find on bodies and in chests, with a slight chance of something showing up that was better. The lure of these better items kept you out hunting for more occupied, hitherto unknown caves and potential loot. But Bethsoft now believes all loot should be tied to character level. Their “improvement” makes certain you never see any treasure, in merchant shops or on the kill, that is inappropriate for your current character. Just finished an epic battle with three opponents that nearly took you and your summoned creature out? You can hardly wait to open that boss treasure chest…then you discover it contains nothing different from every other chest you’ve seen so far in the game, and all of it exactly what a character your level would already own.

A very good review, not the usual 90+ score BS, well thought out and presented.

I am just stunned when I go to gamerankings and see a Perfect 100 score and 5 or so 90+ reviews.

I think the problem is, they are reviewing based on Mods or something along those lines, unless there were some under the table deals with reviewers.
I am baffled.

Oooo a screeching icy wind as a Banshee in the night

Praise that howling of a GameBanshee woman for speaking the truth! Verily something smells of rotten eggs on steaming brimstone when it comes to many of those coniving oh so convincing reviewers.Have they no decency no sense of self respect when it comes to the literary art of reviewing where a sacred trust is given unto them to speaketh only truth?!

Tis sad indeed when a series which was the master at character roleplaying has degenerated to the heathen greed of low quality where the main storyline quest dost not even allow one to play a Holy Paladin or Servant of thee Deevil without having to break character by doing deeds totally against their nature. Where is this much talked about freedom of ages past?
