Knightshift: Zuxxex sues Gamestar

Thanks to Andy from Yiya for letting us know, that the lukewarm Knightshift review in the current GameStar issue was based not on a review code, but a preview copy and therefore publisher Zuxxez sued GameStar to...well, I don't know to what, because damage has already been done, but it shows the decay of the once best German printmag...

Hehehe, i can't say i feel too sorry for that crappy mag. I stopped reading it due to it's hypocritic, self righteous stance against certain "violent" games anyway.

I stopped reading it as well due to its stance on certain games. What is,in your opinion, the best pc game magazine available in Germany now?

that's easy: NONE
most of the best pc magz does not exist anymore

in my opinion the PC PLAYER was the best (minus the last 4-5 issues, when trying to become something like "gamestar" or "pc games")

in fact there is no good choice for a german printmag, nothing of interest for an adult readership, seems they write more for easy to hype pre-teens

PC Joker has been back for a few months now, more or less. There's a new team for instance. A pity for the old team though... The magazine still feels a bit crude and is unfortunately only published bi-monthly, but it's very refreshening to read, with reviews that you can actually trust, like in the olden days. High scores are only given to real pearls.

I haven't read off-line mags for quite some time now. I had been devoted to PC Games, just because I've been with them almost since day one, but stopped reading when I found I didn't play the demos anymore or didn't care much about reviews of new games. Nowadays I search for specific info when I need it. My favorites have been Video Games and Power Play (green tips & tricks pages, for those who remember. They also paved the way for my appreciation of Mangas and Animes).
I feel the renewed PC Joker brings back some spice to the bland industry. They get my gold pieces just for that.
