USA Release?

Gothic is going to be released next month, right? If so, I just have to say one thing.

No. Actually, Gothic was released on November 21, 2001. And yeah, that was the North American release.

No, Kiwiboy.. that was the German-speaking-country-release for the German version of the game(all others play the demo in here).

The release date in the US/Europe hasn't been announced yet; some say end of January, some say beginng or even end of February..

Check JoWoods' official website, and it says "Q1 2003", meaning something between Jan-March, and that is the only, really reliable source.

Just did a search on Google.

Some predicted end of January (e.g. Jan 27, Jan 31)
Some predicted mid February (e.g. Feb 14)
Some predicted early March (e.g. Mar 7)

And some, like Gamestop, say April 17th, so the reality is we just don't know yet.

Yeah, I wonder if there is a "May" prediction. So, SirDiety, I think it's too early to shout out:

I am more than confident that we will be able to bring you exclusive news on this issue today

We are just crosschecking things right now, but we should have a newsbit about the US release up in several hours.

I know you were talking about Gothic II, that's why I said Q1 2003, and that is the ONLY reliable info at the moment, meaning the game will be released Jan, Feb or March 2003(it even says so in the last news of Gothic II on the RPGdot mainpage).

The anticipation is unjustified..
I'm sorry for being unpleasant, but those news weren't exclusive one bit. There was no new information at all(except for the fact that one of you folks are really close to the developer team )..

We'll know the precise date of issuing when the game goes gold. (And then there can still be manufacturing and shipping delays.) You can't expect any more than that -- if it were possible to know precisely what bugs would be found and how long it would take to fix them, the bugs wouldn't have been there in the first place.
