I need help getting ore. How do I get it? Do I steal it from people I knock out only? |

Ok thanks. I have some more questions. Are there arena fights in the demo? So far I haven't seen any. And how do you get into the castle for the demo? I don't really want to you cheats right now, first I want to complete the demo without them. |

You can fight against two of the fighters in the pit.If you want inside the castle you have to equip the sword and run inside no one
will stop you |

You are not meant to enter the castle in the demo. And you can´t complete chapter one because you can´t enter the Old Mine in the demo. |

But you can cheat people in the arena and then you'll have a legal fight with no Problems with others....if you have kill Mud and you looked that nobody fight in the arena! |

I have been playing the English Demo (being American) for a couple of weeks now and just found this forum. I have tried all sorts of different scenarios to try and complete the game. Became a Thief and stole what I could to upgrade my equipment. Killed all the critters to gain experience. Fought (and died quickly) in the ring to gain experience and complete a mission. I have even resorted to picking fights with Diggers (Shadows kill you quick and you can forget the Guards) where sometimes I win, sometimes they run away and sometimes I get snuffed buy a Guard for fighting with a Digger. I just cannot seem to find a way to get into Diego’s favor to enter the Castle. I have tried to enter the Castle but end up on the ground oozing blood. I have over 1400 Ore and was thinking of bribing Thorus or continue fighting until I can get enough experience (have over 4200) to upgrade One Handed Sword Fighting to skill level 2.
Now I see that you can not complete the Demo? That stinks…

I don´t see how else they could have done the demo. It simply had to be limited to the central part of the world because (a) 230(?)MB is enough (b)the complete chapter one as demo would have spoiled far too much of the game.

The US ver. of Gothic is not released yet so I have no idea how big the game is. I just thought there was more than one way to enter the Castle to give the scroll to a Mage. Isn’t that the object of the demo? I don’t know…

The demo is an unaltered section of the game. In order to get into the castle, I think, you have to go to the other camps first. Instead of altering the game in anyway they made it so you could not do certain things. Like going to the other camps, going in the mine, etc... When you buy the game it will be strangly familiar to what you have already done <: You can just keep going to completion. You can run into the castle with your sword drawn if you really want to give the mages your letter, but you just get a little magic trinket. Nothing spectacular. |

Well I did the running through the gate thing last night hung a left, went through the door and was promptly whacked. By the way…Mud was nowhere to be found! The wimp must have bolted on me. Tried it again, this time I kept going till I hit the smith shop. I notice that audio in the dialog with other characters in the Castle does not work. Other sounds work; Fire pit, anvil, water, picking locks and so on but no conversations. The text displays on the screen but I hear nothing. Is that because I am not supposed to be there?
