Been Awhile

Yeah, I'm still alive(I think, you never know). For those that don't know about my situation (I swear this isn't bragging) I am living in Japan for a year. It's been about five months so far. But alas, all the beautiful games that I am missing! Japan is fun and all but I'd rather in in the states where I can play games to my hearts content. Yeah they have games here but 1)They tend to be wierd 2)They tend to be in Japanese 3)They tend to not be as interesting as games elsewhere. If you can, please let me know how the gaming world is going. I quite miss it.
On a different note yes, I do know quite a bit of Japanese now and frequently serve as an interpreter for the new comers. I am taking Kendo (Japanese sword fighting) as a school club, and am quickly becomeing quite good at it. And I think the thing I will miss the most when I leave in a few months is the extreme popularity I have here. The guys want to talk and do things, the girls follow and always say Kakkoi(cool) to anything I do, and I am always getting complimented on almost anything I do, whether it is bad or not. Quite nice.
I feel really uptight now that I've been saying all that, so a favor to those who read this fully. Any questions you may have about the Land of the Rising Sun please feel free to ask.
Sorry this was long to those who DID read it.

Oh, I've read way longer posts.

I wish I could go to Japan for a year, wonderful. Why didn't you bring your own games with you to Japan?

And I know you won't admit it, but secretly you just LUV the attention.

Actually I would of loved to bring my own systems but the group that sent me here would not let me bring electronics to Japan. And besides, deep down inside, buried far below my game addiction, I know that is not why I'm here. I hate that side of me .
And....yes, I am sad to say this but I really do love the attention. I will miss it the most when leaving. Ahhh....my 11 months of fame.

Greetings, how do you find the prices there? From my understanding, it's a VERY expensive country!!

Some things are actually cheaper. In my opinion, food prices seem to be a lot lower then they are in America, however in seems that electronics of any type, even if they are made in Japan are MUCH more expensive here.
Case in point, games are like $80 here, while they are only $50 in the U.S. A subpar digital camera is like $350, while in the U.S. it is like $100.
Little things, like tickets seem to be the same price however, along with the subway.
So yes, some things are deathly expensive, while some are not too bad.
I hope that answered your question.
