What is the path you will all play/take in SW:KotOR first? Light, dark or neutral?
(Well I am not sure how neutral you can be but I put it in anyways)
Personally, I am going for the Light side first.

Light.
Don't think the neutral path is available. Maybe you could sometime kill people and sometime help people when doing quest, but no or lack of sufficient dialogs, plot options, etc for you to really role-playing a neutral character. The Star Wars stories is always about the struggle between good and evil.
That is why i like the Deus Ex universe better - No clear line between good and evil, more realistic. Just like in real world, a originally good decision would become a evil decision at certain point of time, at different place, or in different context, etc. _________________

Have you played the console vesion of the game before?
Everyone will start off as neutral i think.
Hmm as for Deus Ex, I have not played it before as I really hate FPS games. So I avoid games with FPS elements like mad. |

Chances are that I won't get KotOR for two reasons though I happen to love Star Wars:
1) It's Old Republic - I prefer the Classic era.
2) It's isometric/third person - I don't like iso games.
In case I'd play it (which might happen after all) it I'll try to start as a neutral character and see where time will take me. _________________ Jaz |

If it's as good as the console review scores suggest (I'm not convinced yet) - both!
I suspect the Light path will be better supported...but the Dark is just cool.
@Jaz, you can zoom in and out, so it's not necessarily a classic iso view, is it? _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

You can zoom in and out in many of the newer iso games. I still wasn't too taken with the visuals. _________________ Jaz |

Well Ill play both of course!
I havent even seen the x box version.
However, I have a strong feeling that the game runs like neverwinter knights. Only makes sense. |

Dark. Better music in the movies. Yoda said sth like: The dark side is more seductive, quicker, easier. _________________ Moderator and Council Magician of the RPGDot Shadows

I haven't even seen the Xbox version either but I heard that the engine they use for kotor is a heavily modified version of Aurora. Not sure how true is that though. |

Easy for me to answer, since I already played it through on my xbox. I played light through, and got ~1/4 way through dark before I gave up on it.

Why did you quit playing the Dark side only about 1/4 through the game? Is it because its boring or? |

I've played the X-Box version. I played light first, then dark. I couldn't really bring myself to play a third time (yet). It's a third person view, not FPS or iso. |
