The best items are the special ones which you can find in some books. To get them is like a quest!

the ebony mail is probably the best armour I have had but it looks so silly. and I got a really sweet war hammer called veloths judgement, you get all these from doing the temple quests.

I think for starters it's best to go tho ghostgate and buy or steal full glass armour... Glass is very good cause it's light and still one of the strongest armours in the game. Later you get special items.

Another good special items is the boots of blinding speed! You get them by escorting someone near Sarun to another city and in the end he gives you the boots of blinding speed. They give you +50 speed i thougt but they make you almost totally blind! The trick is to enchant something to go agains the blind.... Then you've got 50 more speed

I think the best weapon you can find, is the Daedric Crescent Blade. It may look ugly... very ugly actually, but it is by far the best weapon for dealing with most enemies in the game. It has distentegrate armor, paralyze, and some element damage I think.

You get it from the amulet in the small chest next to the guy that owns the corpusarium, you have to go through the dungeon and collect all the keys, THE OPEN SPELL DOES NOT WORK. Then put on the amulet and u transport to fight a very strong dremora with a name that I forget. He uses the blade so be careful, kill him for it, take it and you go back to the place u were before u put it on.
P.s. you don't get in trouble with the guy for taking the amulet.

Name: Eldeath
Class: Arch-Angel (custom class)
Race: Wood-Elf
Level: 2
Armor: None... except common pants and shirt
Weapon: Fists... and magic
Sign: The Atronach

I've beaten almalexia (in her temple, with her hands) with this char - I had to go up a level before I could get to Mournhold . Secret to success: make fortify intelligence potion, drink, make another, drink, etc... now I have 65000 intelligence, so make a reflect 8000% for 24000 secs, fortify hp 6000 for 18000 secs etc. It's not cheating, technically...

I wonder how long a water-walking potion you could create with 65000 intelligence... Must go experiment...
