Magician build?

In the first chapter what lp's should I use for a magician? Should I save all of them for circle learning and runes? or what? I want to know exact percentages and numbers for this though.

Do the following:

1.Str: 35
2.Dex: 20
3. mana: 30

And the other LP's for circles and runes!

I am playing with mage now, and I do not train strenght at all, just dexterity to 30(I will improve it to 60 with potions I found), because I have great one handed sword(master sword) that requires no strenght at all, just dexterity at 60. It is good enough sword for magician. Also dexterity comes handy for pickpocketing...

Hi people, I need one advice. I started game as magician this time and I would like to hear your opinnion what spell should I learn, cause it is obvious that I will not have enough skill points to learn them all. I thought not to learn any spell from first two circles except fire arrow. Is that a good idea???
Any advice is welcome...

Well that depends on what type of mage are you:
for a warrior-mage who can defend yourself don't waste point in 2nd circle's spells.
If you want to fight mostly with spells then learn fireball from the 2nd circle.I think that in the beginning is quite useful(and cost only 5 lp)

I want to play as a pure mage. Of course I can defend myself, I have dex of 40(build up to 30 and 2 potions)and crosbow with damage 55(I think it is 55, I cant remember now), but I plan to use only magic. If necessery, I will use xbow first 2 chapter, but after that definitly only magic is in game.

For the normal game (without the addon, don't know how the spells are in the addon) I think the best spells are:

Circle 1
- Firearrow
- Heal Light Wounds (you can find it, so no need to learn it.)

Circle 2
- Fireball

Circle 3
- Ball Lightning
- Iceblock (certain strategies make use of it)

Circle 4
- Lightning Strike
- Destroy Undead
- Large Fireball (maybe, I found it very useful)

Circle 5
- Ice Wave (certain strategies make use of it)
- Summon Demon (maybe)
- Heal Heavy Wounds (maybe)

Circle 6
- all of them, except Army of Darkness and Shrink Monster (some players use them always however).

I think that Shrink monster and Army of darkness are very usful spells in the end of the game--->
Shrink monster: Help you to shrink the dragons!
Army of darkness: Help ya to kill the monsters!

So?
