I bought it very cheap and had never heard of the game before BUT it was the best buy ever
For every reason deadelus said and because it was totally different than most RPG's. the story, the freedom, the livelyness, the so different fighting system and keep going on untill I said every little detail of the game _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

Deadalus is the winner. You won't get any better answer then this. Short but it tells you everything you want to know.
Otherwise because you are a part of the world and people that live their own life. You are a part of community where not eveyone just stands on the same place all days waiting for you too talk to them. _________________

As you can see gothic1 wasn't advertised much in the rest of the world.I read about it in a magazine 3 years ago.I liked it but I was afraid that the monster would make the game bad. Then when I took it and played it I was exited from it and the monster was different from the other games.YOU could hunt, you could join with everyone you want.I hadn't played such a good game. and now I'm looking forward for gothic3 . |

Saw a review in a game magazines, played the demo, liked it, searched for weeks for the game, found it, bought it, played it, loved it.
When GothicII came out I bought it as soon as I found it.
I love the admosphere in the Gothic games, the world feels all real. The people are doing things which make sence (playing a music instument, cooking, repairing their house) while you walk through the camps and in GothicII thought the city's you hear people talk to eachother. People have their daily routines and aren't just walking around doing nothing (like in Morrowind). |

Some of the best?? I think they are the best. The Gothic games are the first RPGs I ever liked well enough to buy. |

well anybody knows Arx Fatalis? I played the demo, it was first person view, but from what I make out of the demo, it is a bit the same as gothic, well not the same but a sort of trendsetter and you start out without a name also. the only name you have is a name you get from an old man and is the translations of: without memorys _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?
