Morrowind title music

Hey all...I just commented on Morrowinddot about the music title theme. Thought I'd cut/paste for those who might not check those comments...

Oh my goodness...that Morrowind title music is absolutely gorgeous. I actually d/l'd it and sat and listened to it in a loop for quite some time. Of course, being in school with finals approaching....the stress level is high. That music is SO relaxing!!! Kudos to the composer... Highly recommend grabbing that mp3!

I must say I was disappointed, but only to a small degree , I had already extracted the music from the Trailer (a number of weeks ago) so that I could play it in Winamp. Do not get me wrong, I really like it, as with most other works from this composer e.g. Total Annihilation, but I already have it . The High-Res 'Screenie' is nice, however it is wasted on a person who uses 800x600. I pray (orsend E-mail complaints if I were an atheist) that the Free Movie is soon fixed.

Soon, friends, soon.

I've heard the two samples from the official website. For the main title, the music is absolutely incredible. Very relaxing, and sets the mood perfectly for the game, in my opinion.
The battle music, on the other hand, is crap. It hardly envokes any excitement or the feeling of frenzy/danger. It's too slow, too quiet, too nothing to set the mood right.

Hopefully the other songs in the game will be more like the title theme.

I am still convinced that there are a few notes which conflict in the theme music. They can be heard at the begining. Yet, I am pleased with the music.

I haven't noticed the conflicting notes that you describe. The song is bliss, to my ears at least!

I'm interested to see what the other music is like. If I wasn't so damn broke, and perhaps if my part-time job paid me better, I could afford the collector's edition with is packaged with the soundtrack. Wish I could take school off to just make money and play Morrowind.

I remember reading somewhere that they were playing their character in a bar/tavern type area; while in there, they heard one of the drinkers let out a loud belch, heard above the talking, which was then accompanied by a large group of laughter.

To me, that kind of sound is just plain awesome. The sound effects and background sounds suit the area amazingly! In a 'snobbish' place, that type of humour would not be accepted, but in a bar like that, the behaviour of the NPCs is perfect. If every area of the game is half as cool as that, not only will the game be a leap in graphics and gameplay, but a milestone in sound execution.

On an unrelated note, Potentated- whereabouts in Canada are you? I'm in Ontario, residing in a town called Whitby.

If any others are anywhere close to me, we gotta have a morrowind geek fest sometime!

If anyone gets the Collector's Edition and wants to be kind enough to send me the CD through ICQ, lemme know. I'll be your best friend, or if you live anywhere close to me, I'll buy you lunch or something.

Somewhere during seconds 15-19 (closer to 16) it sounds as though there is a flat being play. Notice how the music dips and does not sound natural.

It is these slight inperfections that greatly distrub the musicaly talented Knights of Ni (me, myself, and I) . Not only this, but it probably saved Bethsoft much money not having Kudos have to go back and fix it.

But I am still pleased with it.

Bah, I've tried listening a bunch of times and I still can't hear that bloody note. I guess my ears just aren't as good as yours!

I wonder what the death music is like...

I like both of the songs. The battle music sounds really... epic I guess--like the songs you hear in Camelot and stuff.

It doesn't really matter though, I always turn the game music off... the repetitiveness starts to make me bonkers after a while.

I think the quality of my hearing has been damaged from my drumming hobby... yeah, it has.

I'll use from grandpa's hearing aid to pick up on that bad note.
