sound Blaster live Platinum 5.1

Ok now for my problem, or rather, problems. I installed Gothic on my computer while at someone elses house using a crapy old 15 inch monitor, and everything was fine, but when I returned home, i ran Gothic, and when it loads up, the game is displayed in the lower right-hand corner of the screen in about a 15 inch Box (not all of the screen is viewable). I thought I might fix my problem by changing my resolution from 640x480 to 800x600. When I tried doing this, I found that the new settings would not take effect. Can someone please help me, Thanks.

Also, i am having the same problem that was mentioned before about Items in the inventory not appearing, and they only appear if i turn the camera so there is no objects, buildings, etc. nearby.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I am using a 17 inch monitor at home

When you change your monitor you have to install it correctly in your display properties. Check if your Win98 still lists the 15" monitor instead of yours.
If so then either install the driver from the disk included with your monitor, download the driver from the manufaturer´s site or look at the list and choose an identical model from the same or another manufacturer. For example if you have a Samsung 19" mon. with 95kHz, a Samtron or a Sony with the same data will also do. Only make sure the data of the other mon. are a)NOT better and b)equal or only slightly worse than your monitor.

To change the resolution in Gothic you have press enter.

The inventory problem is driver related. Is the Detonator 23.11 installed?

It sounds like you need to upgrade all of your drivers.

As soon as you do that, then try the game again and see what it does.

My game does not work on windows millenium or windows 98se. It only works with windows xp. I am using a ati 8500dv card. So it is a driver problem.
