Chapter 2 map bug?

I'm in chapter 2 now looking around the valley of mines and the map that guround first gave me had x's on it where the mining sites are. Well now I've been out looking for them and the x's on the map have disapeared.

Anyone know if this is a bug or is there anyway to bring them back?

Are you sure you're looking to the same map still?

As a matter of fact, you are correct about the map, it must be some sort of bug the "X"s do disappear sometimes. It seems like once they do, they never show back up again either. I read about that a couple of places so forewarned I saved when I first got itt just in case, and sure enough... shortly thereafter, there were no more "X"s! Luckily I was just about finished, so it didn't hurt too bad.
