I got the game for PC (finally) and am to the point where I first meet one of the Ylsides, and have to fight him. My Close Combat is at 100, and I'm at level 7. I have magical plate leggins and helm, but only plate armor. I have the Ciprian long sword, but do have one that does +1 more damage stored somewhere.
This guys is just too fast, and hits too hard. I've beaten him once, but I wanted to see if I could get his armor, but he dissapeared too quickly.
What are some tips on how to beat these guys?

You can freeze him very quickly 3 times in succession, and then you'll defeat him.
In case you are too much annoyed with the others, ask again, I used Gothic-tactics against them.

Fireballs, two or three in a row to the head usually do the trick, or at least wound them enough so you can beat them down. You cannot get their armour now. Just wait.

I used the Curse spell (bought the rune RHAA from Maria the storekeeper). It lowers their stats so when they hit you it barely takes any hit points from you. I killed them all and I was only at level 5. |
