New Gothic II screenshots up |
|
Hello folks, Piranha Bytes put some new Gothic II screenies online. You can read about them (and find the correct links ) here on GothicDot.
Be sure to take a lot at the screenshots. The fog looks very nice... _________________ Jaz |

Look great. I especially like the pic where the forest ground is covered in fog; very atmospheric. |

Nice fog.... I hope my computer can take it
It better cause it ran Gothic fairly decently, wouldn't expect it to crap out on GII. Anyways, to the Gothic II crew, keep up the cool, nifty, amazing, awe-inspiring, revelationistic(maybe that's too far.) work! _________________ The Lord of the Rings:

The screeshots look very nice. Cool, cloudy, misty forest and mountains.
BTW, any new weather elements in Gothic 2?, or just same as in Gothic 1; for example heavy rain with stormy wind?, snowing?, thunder and lightning flashing in the sky?... _________________

Hmm...
specs-wise, they're probably there the entire time, but if anyone remembers GI, the fog got 'foggier' when it rained, so I dunno. It would be cool if it did get foggy only at night though. _________________ "Don't you call me a mindless philosipher, you old weight lob of grease."

I don't like to have fog all the time; if you playing whole game with blurry view everywhere (especially outdoor area) - that will definitely get annoying.

I rather like it. Nothing creepier than walking through a foggy forest at night. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

you won't walk around in foggy areas throughout the whole game, of course.
there are some misty and dull locations, but the rest of the game looks clear as usual. in addition, the fog's density depends on the daytime and weather.
talking about the weather... ( @goofy )
