Thanks, great article. Guess I'll have to dust the game off and re-install it!!

It never left my hard drive.

Even if I don't really have time to play it when balanced out with other games... every now and then it's fun to fire up my trusty Titan and dispense some indiscriminate justice.

(Yes, I use a TITAN on assassination missions in 1.4. Yes, it's challenging ... but also faster. Get a good solid lock, list, and roll on a Osprey even and it goes down hard. Boron Hyrdra and the Dragons are the annoying ones in the assassinations... they're too damned fast. Can't really hurt The Black December ... but I usually end up strafing into them because the cannons can't hit them. Good thing the missions pay a million credits a pop at my combat ranks as occassionally I'll lose a B or GPPC or a 125mw to a ram... especially hitting an Osprey.)

Well, I suppose running someone over is just as good as shooting them.

Yar, it is... especially when you're in a 1.5 kilometer long battleship at maximum speed.

'Move it or lose it' has never been truer in a space simulator than it is in X2. Just ask all the Boron trade ships who have had the misfortune of lining up to use the jump gate that my Argon Mammoth was emerging from.

"Uuuugh" *boom*
"Ahhhh!" *boom*
"What are you -" *boom*
"Please, consi -" *boom*

Never fly a factory transporting sized ship manually into a busy sector. Most people fly their fighter with the TL class ship on 'follow' ... because the computer has a more gentle touch when it comes to dodging 'speedbumps' in busy lane traffic areas.

On the plus side... *look furitively in different directions* *orders support ships to gather the trade goods the transports were carrying from the debris*

The expansion has been delayed until Q2 2005, according to the Egosoft site. Don't know whether it's a development delay, a QA delay, or a publishing delay.

The expansion is looking quite good, although I wish they'd be a little more liberal with some of the details.

It keeps looking better and better. Go devs listening to community feedback when designing an expansion.
