Ill say, i would like to play W8, but if its somewhat related to MMIX, then forget it. I bought the game in a promotion thinking i had done a great deal: well i havent!

I talked to some ppl and they told me MM8 was better, even 7 or 6.

Anyway, maybe ill give it a shot at W8

EDIT: Wrong forum (thats what happens when you get home drunk) its moving somewherelse

I'm a big fan of M&M 6,7 and 8, and I've played W8 with pleasure, It has many similarities with M&M series, but still it feels very different. W8 is for me the single best tradiotional CRPG which has come out here in the last 5 years, followed close by the Gothic games. I certainly can't see the most resemblance to MM9??? But be warned W8 is a stratetic very tough game for the newbie, Character choise/development and combat style are allmost endless in combination, and very essential on how easy you will get through the game. Story is not a heavyweight, but still quite interesting imho.

I'll second Michael C's comments. MM9 has very little in common with W8. In fact most of the M&M games have little in common with W8 other than they are good party and turn based CRPGs with detailed character developement. I am a huge fan of M&M6 and 7 (the earlier ones as well, but they are not under discussion here) and I recommend W8 as well. I never got to finish it, but that is mostly because of moving and other time constraints.
