| NotR required for Gothic III? |

I have never played the Night of the Raven with Gothic II. First of all; I can't understand german -- well, I can, but I need time to translate it, and the dialog boxes go way too fast -- and second; I am not really sure about the translation mod. Does it adds new, english voices from fans (which will be a horrid), or does it only translates the german dialogs and other text to english, and leaves the voices german?
So, I have never played NotR, but I am going to play GIII -- d'oh -- and now I'm wondering whether I need to play NotR before starting the new Gothic (Whenever it comes out; most likely 2010 if it continues like this).
Do you people advise me to play NotR first, before even thinking about buying Gothic 3?
EDIT:
I just heard from a friend that the Gold edition has the english NotR. I'm not sure about it, but I'm going to buy the Gold then. This can be closed.

Hi Neo,
hmmm, so you have played G2 but not Notr ? I think you don't have to play Notr to play G3 because Notr ends the same way as G2. You embark with a ship to join the mainland.
But i would highly recommend playing the addon just to make the wait for G3 more bearable |

Well neo i tell u my opinion,
U have nearly half year until u can get gothic3. They've finished gothic notr a long-long time ago, so u can play it in english what u understand  And i think in gothic3 there'll continue the strory as everybody knows, and gothic notr will have role in it i think. |
