Crossbow/Bow linked like 1h/2h as far as cost of LPs?..WHY!

I just trained my crossbow to 30% and now when I try to train above that level it costs twice what it should. Why the hell did the Devs make both the sword and the ranged attacks connected? I understand the 1h 2h thing and how if you are good at one will should know the basics of the other because they are kinda similar but with bows and crossbows they are totally different! Using a crossbow is like using a gun more than using a bow. Bows take much more skill to draw back and fire accurately so what is the deal with this...I hate it!

So that you won't be able to master both melee and ranged. You have to choose whether or not you want to be a ranger/archer type, or a warrior. Forces you to think twice about the choices you make..

I guess so, but as it has been said many times, it is impossible to be a full archer because you get destroyed during orc battles, dragon battles etc. All ranged combat is more of a secondary choice. If anyone out there has actually played as a ranger then I would love to hear how you pulled it off. Especially in close quarters like tombs.
