What Console RPGs are You Anticipating

I was reading through some of the "Most Anticipated Games of 2005" features that Gamespy and Gamespot have on their sites today and I got excited about some of the great RPGs planned for this year. What Console RPGs or non-RPGs are you looking forward to this year? Here's my list:

1. Final Fantasy 12--PS2
2. Jade Empire--X-Box
3. Dragon Warrior 8--PS2 (although I hear it might carry the Japanese Dragon Quest name this time around).
4. Fire Emblem--Gamecube
5. Xenosaga 2--PS2 (although I've seen some tepid reviews online)
6. Kingdom Hearts 2--PS2
7. Shin Megami Tensai Digital Devil Saga--PS2
8. Stella Deus--PS2
9. Champions of Norrath: Return to Arms--PS2
10. Wild Arms: Alter Code F--PS2
11. Ys: Ark of Napishtim--PS2

Also, there are a few non-RPGs that I'm anticipating
1. Legend of Zelda: Gamecube (the new one coming later this year--looks great)
2. Time Splitters: Future Perfect--X-Box (one of my favorite series; the second one was a great FPS with an interesting story)
3. Starcraft: Ghost--X-Box
4. Katamari Damacy 2--The first one is one of my favorite games right now for the PS2
5. Killer 7--Gamecube--Looks very stylish

I havent been paying much attention to the new stuff lately. Just kinda wait until it comes out and take a look at it then...

The only two that I am actualy anticipating would be Zelda & FF12. I am definately going to buy a lot of the others but I wouldnt actualy say I was anticipating them.

Zelda is definately my most anticipated Console game at the moment. Hopefully its gonna be the game that Wind Waker should have been.

Jade Empire is my most anticipated console RPG right now; as for non-RPGs, I'm looking forward to the next (or rather, oldish but onlineish) DOA.

If I merged my two lists I would place the new Legend of Zelda as my most anticipated game, followed by Final Fantasy 12 in second place and Jade Empire in third. I may wait for a price drop for the others (with possible exceptions for Timesplitters and Starcraft: Ghost) simply because I don't have time to play them all and it makes no sense to pay full-price for a game that will be $30 cheaper a year later when I finally get around to playing it.

I finaly picked up a copy of Kotor this weekend but I havent had a change to play it yet. Maybe once I get into that it will pique my interest in Jade Empire .

Dragon Quest 8 (PS2)
Jade Empire (Xbox)
Final Fantasy 12 (PS2) - Looks like a mixture of FFTactics, KOTOR, FFV

Dragon Quest 8 (usually Titled Dragon Warrior in the U.S.) looks better each time I read an updated preview in a new magazine. The publisher, Square Enix (nicknamed Squenix in the videogame press), claims it will release one game a month in 2005. The new Musashi game hits the U.S. in March. No word yet on release dates for Dragon Quest 8 or Final Fantasy 12.

Sadly, it's looking like 2006 for FF12. I am hearing November 2005 for Dragon Quest 8.

Basically, this means I will probably play neither as Oblivion will be all I care about at that point!

I really wanted to play Dragon Quest 8!

Do you guys serously think that Oblivion is coming out this year?
My bet is that even the Xbox360° version is coming out next year at the earliest.

Honestly, no! I just hope it comes out this year! I am sure both PC and Xenon versions will hit 2006. It took them 6 years to develop Morrowind. Three years would be a very-fast dev-cycle for a game like Oblivion!

But we can hope can't we?

No, you cannot. But you can have the prospect of hope in hope's place
I'd suprised if it comes in 2006, either, such big name titles are delayed at least a couple of times, you know. I'd say summer 2007 , since it would be coming for all next gen consoles, and should hit at about the same time. And the X-Box360° is the only one coming out this year (hopefully )
