Even with a trackball I can only turn around very, very slowly. I have the mouse sensitivity turned to the max. Up and down it does lightning fast but the character takes baby steps when you try to turn around.

This is a problem in combat when someone gets behind you. You have to try to walk backwards since you can't turn around quickly.

Is there a key combination to reverse direction?

When someone starts running around you then run (strafe) in the opposite direction, then target lock them again. The turning is kinda slow but slightly realistic at the same time (you can look up or down faster than you can make a 180).

Turning around would only be realistic if I tied my shoe laces together!

I don't think it's possible to turn around.
