There is no yellow armor in Gothic,
grd_armor_ l/m/h are all normal armors, the yellow armor you see has been added in the patch, the guard you see waving, is a way of the patch programmers aknowledgment, similar to an easter egg (if you see what i mean).
By the way, this is a similar conumdrum that was found in the missing "old man" in the cromanin quest which was also only added in a patch.

wulf there is also a royal guards armor that ends whit _I its golden and the pants are red and green its the armor the two guards that throw you in are waering |

Hey there Uocjat,
You mean this armour? - - - Well - - - yeah, it is akind of yellow i suppose, more of a goldy/tan like Drake14 mentioned, its a "cool" looking armour, so this is what the guy waving is wearing?

The meat bug is me (pc_hero - disguise!) must move slowly because the ore barrons will notice and make mincemeat of me.

try entering marvin mode, then press F6, that will allow you to go anywhere you want. then look at the guy. it may just be a guard who threw you into the barrier, he might be wearing royal guards armor.

well thats the only armor i can think of that has anything to do whit looking like a guards armor and yellow or yellowish color ..
its just a guess |

Disguised as a meatbug, i zoomed up to where the man was waving from,
and there to my surprise was this screenshot of Pc-hero, Xardas, Milten, Lester and Gorn, but where's Diego?

hmm found something simpaler to this in G2 a cave where dead or currently unused npc stay .. maybe this is the case .. just insted of just putting them there they desided to make an easter egg out of it |

i noticed that the smaller pic doesnt contain the rest of the guys up there and from the angel its shot at they should be visible |
