Dragons are killing Americans!

So, I just finished off the Ice Dragon and while going thru the pile of loot behind him, I use my 'close-up' key to make sure I didn't miss anything. Imagine my surprise when I notice that the American dollar must be *sound* in the VoM. Well, the coins anyway. In close-up view you can see clearly the backs of quarters and dimes and the face of Thomas Jefferson can plainly be seen on the front of nickels. Don't know if there are any other countries' coins represented - I don't know what German coins look like...

German coins now look like this now, and used to look like this.

None of these appear to be used. Perhaps I'm not the best one for picking them out, though. Wonder why they used American? Isn't most (or all) of the game done in Germany?

Can you upload a screenshot?

My guess is that they had only reference pictures from American money.

I'd be happy to - I have a save nearby. I don't know which key to hit, though. Tried 'print screen' but I didn't find any pics in my Gothic folder. And once I get something, how would I go about u/l'ing it here? Excuse my ignorance on the subject, but it's just something I haven't done lately...

When you you hit PrtScrn, then open Paint, paste and save.
Or you can use several freeware programs, I use FRAPS which also always give me my FPS of any game I play, very nice.
You can even make ingame movies with it.

I saved a screen shot. How to get it here (after reading this Board's FAQ) is still unfortunately a mystery (to me, at least).

I'm still guessing that Piranha Bytes bought the texture from a retailer. The silver cross in the texture could be a hint.

Try editing the link inbetween your symbols.

*looks at picture*

It's a little big and really messes up the lay-out, but I see what you mean with the coins. And yes, the dragons killed the Americans, that explains the bad publishing there.

I agree with Hindukönig about the texture.

How exactly would you go about editing it? I haven't used this before. Thanks.
