why is this forum so slow its taking ages before it loads up single forum(ultima etc.)

Well it depends on what connection you have. I have a 56k (with cookies) and it's good.
But, if you want it faster, Ariel is designing a new skin right now that will load up real quickly. The disadvantage is that there will very few pictures, the avatars won't probably show etc.
Still, many users desire this new skin. Join the group!

I have a pretty good adsl connection and most of time the pages open fast, but sometimes it does indeed take ages. Not that I'm complaining, waiting a bit never hurt anybody..(did it?)

Most of time it's not the internet connection that decides how fast the pages load. When a page takes very long to load, it's mostly a server problem, it's not responding, or a lot of users are using it at the same time, etc.

Here's a little tip if you use FireFox or other browser (not IE):
- open a window and type your page and then open a tab and again enter...
- I think you can use this 2 times (windows) or more, depending on how the server is doing.
